Understanding WordPress Care Plans

WordPress Care Plans are for customers who want ongoing help maintaining their WordPress website after it is live.

A care plan is separate from hosting. Hosting keeps your website online at the platform level. A WordPress Care Plan helps with ongoing WordPress maintenance, update checks, website health checks and smaller support tasks depending on the plan selected.

Who WordPress Care Plans are for

WordPress Care Plans are suitable for business websites that need regular maintenance and practical support.

They may be useful if you want help with:

  • WordPress updates

  • Plugin and theme update checks

  • Backup checks

  • Security checks

  • Website health checks

  • Basic troubleshooting

  • Minor website tasks on higher care plan tiers

  • A monthly support allowance on higher care plan tiers

A care plan is useful if your website is important to your business and you do not want to manage every maintenance task yourself.

How care plans are different from hosting

Hosting and care plans are different services.

Hosting covers the platform your website runs on. This may include the hosting environment, SSL, backup support, server-side hosting support, service access and hosting reliability.

A WordPress Care Plan covers the WordPress layer of your website. This may include updates, checks, basic troubleshooting and smaller website support tasks depending on the plan selected.

Hosting support does not automatically include WordPress updates, plugin troubleshooting, content edits, design changes or ongoing website maintenance.

Essential WordPress Care

Essential WordPress Care is designed for customers who want the core maintenance basics covered.

It may suit smaller business websites that need regular checks but do not need included monthly support time.

Essential WordPress Care may include:

  • WordPress core updates

  • Plugin updates

  • Theme updates

  • Backup checks

  • Security checks

  • Website health checks

Essential WordPress Care does not include monthly support allowance unless separately agreed in writing.

Growth WordPress Care

Growth WordPress Care is designed for active business websites that need ongoing maintenance plus some included support time.

It may suit websites that need regular updates and occasional small support tasks.

Growth WordPress Care may include:

  • WordPress core updates

  • Plugin updates

  • Theme updates

  • Backup checks

  • Security checks

  • Website health checks

  • Included monthly support time

  • Minor content edits

  • Small website tasks

  • Basic troubleshooting

The included support time is not unlimited support. It is intended for smaller website tasks within the care plan scope.

Priority WordPress Care

Priority WordPress Care is designed for busier or more important WordPress websites that need more included support time.

It may suit websites where updates, checks and small support tasks need a higher level of ongoing attention.

Priority WordPress Care may include:

  • WordPress core updates

  • Plugin updates

  • Theme updates

  • Backup checks

  • Security checks

  • Website health checks

  • Higher included monthly support time

  • Priority review for smaller support tasks

  • Minor content edits

  • Small website tasks

  • Basic troubleshooting

Priority WordPress Care is still a care plan, not an unlimited development or website management retainer.

What support allowance means

Some WordPress Care Plans include a monthly support allowance.

Support allowance may be used for smaller WordPress tasks such as:

  • Minor content edits

  • Image swaps

  • Simple setting changes

  • Basic troubleshooting

  • Small website adjustments

  • Small support requests within the plan scope

Support allowance is not unlimited. It does not automatically cover major work, complex troubleshooting, custom development, large content updates or emergency repairs.

Unused support allowance does not roll over unless agreed in writing.

What is not included as standard care work

WordPress Care Plans do not automatically include every website task.

Work that may be outside standard care plan scope includes:

  • New website builds

  • Website redesigns

  • Major layout changes

  • Custom plugin development

  • Custom theme development

  • Large content migration

  • Advanced SEO work

  • Copywriting

  • Training

  • Malware cleanup

  • Emergency fixes outside normal care scope

  • Email migration

  • Third-party platform administration

  • Complex plugin conflicts

  • Work caused by unsupported or abandoned plugins

If work is outside the selected care plan scope, WP Performance Hosting may recommend a paid support task, emergency fix, care plan upgrade or separate quote.

Do I need hosting with WP Performance Hosting?

WordPress Care Plans are primarily designed for websites hosted with WP Performance Hosting.

This helps us support the website properly because the hosting, backups, security monitoring and maintenance process can be managed together.

If your website is hosted elsewhere, care plan suitability may need to be reviewed first.

How to request care plan support

Existing customers should request care plan support through the client portal.

Client portal link:

https://client.wpperformancehosting.com/

When opening a support ticket, include:

  • Your domain name

  • The care plan you are using

  • The task or issue you need help with

  • Any affected pages

  • Screenshots or error messages if available

  • Any recent changes made to the website

  • Whether the request is urgent

WP Performance Hosting will review the request and confirm whether it is included in your care plan, uses support allowance, requires paid work or needs a separate quote.

Need help choosing a care plan?

If you are unsure which WordPress Care Plan is suitable, compare the current plan details or contact WP Performance Hosting before ordering.

Include your website address, how often the site changes, whether you need help with updates, and whether you expect to need small support tasks each month.
